I'm Mone't Smith,
What Pain Taught Me was born from more than my work as a therapist—it was born from my own life.
I know what it feels like to experience loss, carry pain quietly, keep showing up for everyone else, and still have to find a way to keep going. Through my own journey, I learned that healing isn’t about forgetting what happened or pretending it didn’t hurt. It’s about learning how to live, love, trust God, and find yourself again after pain changes you.
What Pain Taught Me is a piece of that journey.
Through the journal and healing workshop experience, I’ve created a space for women to slow down, reflect, release, and give themselves permission to heal without judgment or a timeline.
This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being honest about where you are, honoring what you’ve survived, and discovering what your pain may be teaching you about your strength, your faith, and your purpose.
I’m still healing too. And maybe that’s what makes this space so personal to me.
You don’t have to have it all together to begin. Welcome.
There’s room for your story here, too.
